All Malaysians

I was abit upset when most of the Barisan Nasional leaders and supporters were repeating the same quote.

PM
"Tahun ini menunjukan bahawa tahun ini lebih banyak rakyat pelbagai kaum telah datang untuk menjayakan perayaan tahun baru cina."

DPM
" The participation ot the citizens in this festive celebration shows that we do not have any problem among our citizen"

MCA President
"The people who have come here to attend this open house shows that all the treats among the citizen is not true"

Works Minister
"Sambutan ini merupakan satu permulaan baru untuk parti Barisan Nasional"

Besides all these, even some of the citizen who are so called the strong supporters of Barisan Nasional quoted these-

"Tak ada. Tak ada. Kita tak ada masalah satu sama lain. Kita peace. "

"Saya tak tau tentang orang lain, saya datang dengan keluarga. Saya tengok semua orang sama saja"

Hello everybody!
We do not have any racial or crisis among us the citizens. If there are, its only the minorities. Why are some of them thinking that we are fighting for our self and race. I just can't stand it. I want to know why are some of us are not thinking correctly and are abit racist. I know its quite hard to just to think openly and critically and some of us can't handle our emotions when its comes to race issues but till all of us understand what is the real problem and what are we Malaysians fighting for, I think we will still be in these situation forever.

Sorry too much of red herring, back to the story.
The leaders up there are making the citizens to think that all the rally the opposition parties stand are all about race. They are trying to make point where BN is the best and they have no connection with the protest in KL. All these is for the election right! I just don't know why some citizens out there do not sense that something is wrong. Lets see, everytime just before the elections the goverment will do wonders for the nation. This has been happening for the 12th time. I think everyone should have realised that something.

Personally I think the reason citizen tent to forget once they get a little wealth. They tend to think getting everything by using the easy way which is voting BN. The happiness they get is only for a short time. Its like be happy for 1 year and suffer for 3 years. I think it would be better if suffer first and then enjoy the freedon in the nation.

I seriously do not know weather you all tend to understand about what am i trying to tell. If anyone would like to give their opinion about this post please do so.

Hi Rider,

the fact is, all humans by nature will show a preference for their own kind by nature. But these does not make them racist. Most Malaysians are not racist but they are being bombarded with so much racist propoganda that they might get influenced.

Definition of racist:

rac·ism

–noun 1. a belief or doctrine that inherent differences among the various human races determine cultural or individual achievement, usually involving the idea that one's own race is superior and has the right to rule others.

2. a policy, system of government, etc., based upon or fostering such a doctrine; discrimination.

3. hatred or intolerance of another race or other races.

If you haven't noticed, most of the racism issues that we face are all linked to the system:

Non-Malay government servants complain of not getting promoted, non-Malay contractors complain of not getting government projects, non-Malay people complain of unequal treatment when it comes to university placements and scholarship...

The bottom line is, we have a racist government.

All the issues that we have in the society can be traced back to the system - preferential treatment towards the Malays and indifferent and sometimes even hostile treatment towards the non-Malays.

This is turn makes the other races feel that if they don't look out for their own kind, noone will and hence, the racism.

Without these instigating factors from our current government, the racism in our country would not even be an issue. Anyone with friends from other races can attest to this. Hey, Malaysians are a caring lot =D

I believe that most Malaysians engage in racist talk just to fit in or to express dissatisfaction towards the current government's policies. Otherwise, they won't even have friends from other races; won't patronise Chinese restaurants, won't eat roti canai or nasi lemak.

It's an open secret that propoganda such as "if DAP win, all the Malays will be marginalised" or "if PAS win, they will kill all the Chinese people" has been spread around our country especially in Malay-dominant and Chinese-dominant communitites.

Heh, I don't know if you remember but there was once when the government declared that companies cannot list 'chinese speaking/writing' as a requirement for job listings as it is considered racist. That's an excellent example of them trying to brew something up when everything is calm as I believe that they are not as stupid as how their actions deem them to be.

This is because BN strives on the divide-and-rule policy; the same as the British and heck, it's a successful time-tested strategy. They don't care about the harmony of the people, it's all just so that they can keep themselves in power and suck the country dry.

So, vote the current racist goverment out and you will see less racism in Malaysia.

Yes, I do remember that comment. People just brush that aside because its, for them "racist", whereas, they don't even know that they are racist themselves.

Has anyone seen the Buletin 1.30 on TV3 recently, 3 news articles back to back talk about the "good" things the government is doing for the "rakyat". Election time. "Biasalah tu." More and more propaganda. I seriously don't know how am I going to watch TV during this election fever.

News on TV1, 2 and 3 always talk about the good things the government did, but has anyone talked about the good things the opposition did?

bernard, Our media serves for our goverment.

Kenny Chan how do we know if the DAP wins the malays will be marginalized and if PAS wins they will kill the chinese. We dont know at all because we did not get to know the working style of the oppositon parties. When BN has ruled all these while and there are murders here and there, problem everywhere. So what is the difference that they want to complain about the oppositon when they themselves are corrupted and do not have the guts to change their perception.

Hi 125z rider,

I'm not sure if you've misinterpreted my meaning.

The fact is, we do not know if situation where the Malays will be marginalised or the Chinese will be killed will happen if any party OTHER than the ruling coalition gets voted into power and as long as there is proper representation in the parliament, none of these are likely to happen.

But 'someone' has been spreading them nonetheless and I don't think I need to tell you who I think the culprit is. Obviously the one practising the divide-and-rule policy.

What I meant to stress on is not what the content of the message is but rather what goals the 'culprits' hope to achieve by spreading them.

The hopes are vey simple.

1) BN rules Malaysia till dooms day.
2) Be sure that the citizens have no other choice but to vote BN.
3)We the citizens will worship the leaders as our god.
