Happy MERDEKA!

For our 50th anniversary celebration, I am trying out a new color scheme for our blog.

And in the spirit of democracy, comments please. I am verrrry open to criticism.

I was posting new comments on one of the threads wen suddenly this blog got colour. I though for a moment my computer's gone wrong.HAHA! But it's a nice to have at least some colours to the blog..wont be very dull looking then!haha! Hope there'll be more hi-tech features here soon.hehe! But hey! It's merdeka so i thought the colours used will be the colours of jalur gemilang! No lar..I like the current colours..Soothing.. Anyway, thanks dr carmen! and yup! Happy Merdeka!!

Hmm, nice colour here Dr. Carmen. Are you doing this for the sake of Merdeka? Haha. I'm just kidding. Anyway, we should change the colour scheme from time to time. Say, on monthly basis? Then it wouldn't be any dull no more!

Democracy? Rights to speak out? Perhaps sing our minds out. Namewee is expressing his thoughts, ain't that democracy? Democrazy maybe.

Ah well, I want to watch 'The Big Durian' again!

Hehehehe. thanks for all the comments.

Yeah lah... I too was thinking Jalur Gemilang colours but as I was uploading the new colour, my bro--who is a designer type--was making funny noises of disgust... he said Jalur Gemilang colours are terrible for the eyes and hard to read because will give you a headache.

Well, needless to say, I thought he was right because I was starting to feel ill just looking at it. Heheh. So, that is why I chose (or rather my bro, Conrad, suggested) this colour.

The rationale is this: it is sepia tone or old yellow... which makes the blog look aged... like a faded photograph and that is to commemorate Merdeka because we are old mah... at 50!

:-)

And yes, good idea of Amy's to change the colour from time to time.. but actually not that many good ones to choose from.

Okie... HAPPY MERDEKA!!!

One more thing... anyone know how to solve Shannie's problem. I have that same problem too but for the life of me, after scouring the entire blogger and going to help desk, I still can't find out how.

hmm maybe blogspot don't support that 'Recent Comments' thingy. Friendster blogs have that. Maybe you could try studying the codes there and then manipulate them here. but that would take ages. why not a tagboard? =) but it's open to public larr that one

hei i love sepia but i dont think this is sepia..IMHO, this colour looks too creamy lah..i prefer something of a darker background and bright wording..i'm not really good wit blogspot so dun think i know how to tweak it..

I think the answer to your 'recent comment' question is here, Dr. Carmen.

Thanks Jeannie. I managed to go the site you linked and do the things they asked but since I am no wiz when it comes to HTML language, it didn't work! It just could not be cut and paste without me knowing more about WHERE to cut and paste to... sigh...

Will try to ask my web designer pal and see if she can help! But this will take a while so y'all be patient k... and thanks so much for the link, J.

As for color, KJ, I did check out a darker hue of so-called sepia but my bro says it looks like someone vomitted on our page... eeeeewwwwww!!

Hahahhahaha
